AI Is Absurd (And So Are We)

🤖 Note: This blurb was written by AI (Claude).

The episode image was generated by AI. The irony is not lost on us.

Yes, we’re still alive. And yes, we’ve finally dragged ourselves back to the microphone to talk about the thing everyone won’t shut up about — AI.

In this edition, Andrew and Nic dive headfirst into the world of large language models, and specifically Anthropic’s Claude, which Nic has become rather fond of (don’t tell ChatGPT). Most people think AI begins and ends with ChatGPT, but as the lads discover, there are thousands of models out there — some useful, some preachy, and at least one that seems to have found Jesus. They compare notes on Claude, Grok, Gab, Perplexity, and others, while asking the important questions: can you spot AI-generated content? (Spoiler: yes, and the em dashes are a giveaway.) Is ChatGPT 5 actually worse than its predecessors? (Andrew thinks so.) And is Gab AI the most religious chatbot on the internet? (Almost certainly.)

They also get into Anthropic’s interesting PR moves — including a very public contract dispute with the Trump administration over autonomous weapons — and the release of their new model, Mythos, which is apparently very good at finding software vulnerabilities and is being quietly tested by major tech companies under something called Project Glass Wing. The graphs look impressive. The lads are sceptical. From the AI arms race in cybersecurity, to using Claude to overhaul an entire company’s training documentation in a fraction of the time, to the age-old question of whether the robots are coming for your job (short answer: maybe, but probably the boring bits first) — this one covers a lot of ground. Oh, and they apologise for not recording more often. Again.

I Hope I’m Wrong About Iran

The following podcast was recorded as a solo episode by me, Andrew, about a month ago.

It was released as a video on Rumble and is available here, if you’d prefer to watch: https://rumble.com/v78jslg-i-hope-im-wrong-about-iran.html

The 2005 article from Scott Horton I mention is available here: https://original.antiwar.com/scott/2005/08/05/whos-behind-the-coming-war-with-iran/

“Access to Saudi oil and the Arabian Sea could be easily halted, which would destroy the world economy, and quickly.”

The Forgotten Episode II

This is another one that we forgot about. We recorded this on November 19th, 2025…

In this one we start off by talking about rabbits & red pills and how some people can think they’re further down the rabbit hole than anyone else, whilst still voting and going to church.

Andrew then recalls a couple of our earlier podcasts. Specifically:

School vs Education – about the history of the Prussian schooling system (which we still have today in the West).

Monarchy, The Pope and the Princess of Wales – about how Democracy is the worst system of government we’ve ever had.

He then talks about how these two things (democracy and schools) occurring at approximately the same time led to atrocities in the twentieth century.

We then talk about Jeffrey Epstein which leads us to chat a bit about psychopaths and sociopaths, and how the Andrew formally known as Prince is giving Andrews a bad name. Nic then talks a bit about Bill Gates, how he’s backpedaling on global warming and then how the cathedral is always looking at ways to convince you that children can consent (why could that be…?)

Do the left understand values?

This is a classic Sounding Board episode. Even if we do say so ourselves…

We always strive to produce original content and original thoughts. This is one of those episodes where we think we have done just that.

Recently, Andrew has been thinking deeply about the differences between the left and the right, whether there are fundamental psychological differences, and whether there are things that nobody else has noticed or articulated until now. He thinks he may have noticed something new…

Charlie Kirk & Stuff

After a long break, even by our standards, we return with an episode about all sorts of things.

We start with talking about Charlie Kirk, because what else can you start with? We then address the faux outrage over Jimmy Kimmel, RFK Jr & autism, the collapse in support of Israel (particularly with the young), and a bunch of other stuff as well.

Coins, Conservatives and Censorship

We are still alive! Just very busy. But we’re back talking about a whole bunch of stuff, this time.

Firstly, Andrew thinks he may have finally nailed it with regards to why he is never ill. Don’t worry, he doesn’t keep it a secret.

Then Andrew talks a bit about one of his predictions from a couple of years ago, that in time the right would be the ones calling for censorship. It was inevitable, but both Nic and Andrew are surprised at just how quickly the right has gone from “Free Speech!” to “You’re not an expert!”

We then talk a bit about DOGE failing and what Americans can look forward to. Here in the UK we had something similar in 2010 with “Austerity” that never happened, but of course that didn’t stop the left whining about it. Do these schemes achieve anything other than giving the left an excuse to raise government spending when they inevitably get in? We’re not sure.

We then talk a bit about coins. And rounds. And what the difference is. Spoiler: rounds are coins and the government can go hang.

We talk a bit about vengeance, how it might be treated in an agorist/anarchist society and then we end with a small piece on voting (because it’s us). Sorry voters, but we have to tell the truth…

Trump’s Second First Day

Donald Trump is now America’s Next Top President. Again. It does feel though that this time he means slightly more business than before.

In this episode we discuss the executive orders Trump signed in his first couple of days and go back a couple of podcasts ago to see if the predictions we made about day one 2.0 came true…

The Forgotten Episode

We forgot about this one.

We recorded this before Christmas and because we were busy and, well, we’re blokes, we carried on with our lives and thought not one iota about it. Until just now.

We can’t quite remember what we talked about. We think Nic asked a question about the current situation in Syria (perhaps not quite so current now) and we’re pretty sure Andrew asked another of his “genuine questions”. But there’s probably a whole lot more, too.

Trump, Biden and Alice

In this edition we talked about the results of the Election 24 and the appointments Trump is making to his cabinet such as Musk and RFKjr.  Was Kamala’s reaction expected?  Sleepy Joe seemed a lot happier too… We discuss the Biden crime family and what it means to pardon your son in this political climate.

Then Nic demos his new Rabbit Hole Scale and whether its possible to map certain types of people down the rabbit hole to some literary personas.

Age Against The Machine

We start off discussing climate change, where Nic makes a startling apology.

But dig a little deeper and maybe its not quite as we think… You’ll need the links below, including the fascinating US Government report from the early ’70s.

Then how can we not talk about the race to be America’s Next Top President? Trump and Rogan has finally happened. We get into how Trump came across, and whether Harris is capable of talking about politics at all.
