Libertarianism In Mainstream TV

We’re so used to the general level of statist indoctrination that comes out of mainstream television and film, that it can be a surprise to find a truly libertarian character.

They are certainly not common, but there are some notable examples, which we talk through here. Sometimes its just a hint of something that is on the small state side, but other times its clear and unequivocal morality.

This leads us to discuss other Hollywood films that depict tyrannical regimes and the fight to win against them. How come society hasn’t been prepped nicely for seeing fascist regimes?

Vaccine Passport Exemptions

Do People Really Understand Fascism?

Everyone is taught, quite rightly, that Fascism is bad. But do they really know what it is, other than to name the atrocities of WW2 and the Holocaust?

We look at the differences in how the education system and the media have protrayed both Fascism and Communism in the past, and whether there really is an appreciation for the terms left and right wing any more.

As usual we dig into the definitions, and analyse individual aspects of the state in detail, such as the monetary system and state regulation of industries.

After all is said and done, was the end of the 20th century a huge missed opportunity to banish authoritationism forever through education?

Should We Really Privatise Viruses?

Do you really want those in the hands of private individuals or corporations? Surely the state is a safe pair of hands and nuclear power and atomic weapons need to be heavily regulated? Right?

Should the development of virus technology be super-regulated like nukes, or should the private sector have free rein?

Could a deadly virus that would wipe out humanity be created by the private sector if there were no government regulation?
